I just finished up another year at San Diego Comic Con. Sales were fine, and I met plenty of fans, but it was much, much quieter on the convention floor than in years past. I used to have hour-long lines of people waiting at my table; not so this year. Normally this would make me think “oh god my…
I’m not a vendor/creator but I completely agree. And while I miss do SDCC, I think that the part about long lines and its translation into lost time elsewhere makes me feel less and less inclined to go each year. (I’ll still probably go though)
